25 Random Things About Jesse Hirsh

The 25 Random Things about me meme has been circulating for a few weeks now. I've been tagged by a few people, including twice by my colleague Rima Kar, a reporter at OMNI South Asian News. While this meme is to some extent a Facebook phenomenon, I no longer write content on Facebook due to the fact that they do not pay me enough for the rights they claim on all content uploaded to their site. I'm also not going to tag anyone else as I'm not into peer based coercion, but rather if this post inspires you to do the same, tag me back in reverse.

Joel Stein

First off, please let me know what head of state it is you are planning to run well ahead of time and did you read Joel Stein's column on 25 random things, it had me laughing pretty hard:

Miniscule World

So now and then I listen Jesse on CBC in the a.m. I went to Elementary and High School with Jesse and we were close in grades 7 and 8. I've been meaning to check out his site for awhile.

I get here and I see that Kevin Grandia, who I worked with in Victoria, posts messages and Jesse follows his tweets.

I see a quote by Adrian Montgomery, someone I was close with at UofT.

I would have thought all three of these people could never be connected. For me, each inhabits a different world, much of it obscured by the mists of time. And then I find them all gathered in one spot with Jesse at the centre.

Why be on FB when shit like this happens and is far cooler than being poked?

PS: Great site Jesse. Glad to see/read you're doing well.

This meme was indeed a FB

This meme was indeed a FB phenomenon...I passed because I'm pretty sure I've done this one more than once on my blog over the years.

Nice to read learn all this stuff about you, Jesse! Though I was a tad surprised about #6. And I agree that Jack needs to step aside - enough already.

Interesting times to be a liberatrian Republican

Ya, I threw number 6 in there to throw people off. With that said, Obama has already started to change the Democratic Party, so I think the interesting struggle now is within the GOP and the push by libertarian Republicans to introduce more grassroots democracy into the party. If I were an American, I'd be participating in that movement. :)

Ah, that makes sense!
